Savoie’s® Spicy Andouille in Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • ​​​​​1 lb Savoie’s® andouille
  • ​​​​​1 small thinly sliced onion
  • ​​​​​½ medium sliced red bell pepper
  • ​​​​​½ cup water
  • ​​​​​2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • ​​​​​2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • ​​​​​Hot cooked pasta

Directions

  1. In a medium skillet over high heat add andouille.
  2. Cook and stir 5 minutes.
  3. Add onion and bell pepper; cook 5 minutes, scraping bottom of skillet to prevent scorching.
  4. Add water; cook 3 minutes or until liquid is all evaporated.
  5. Add cream and butter.
  6. Cook and stir 5 to 8 minutes.
  7. Add cooked pasta. Cook until sauce is thick and pasta is heated thoroughly.
